Information we collect

When you submit a registration form on this site, we collect the details you enter, which may include:

• Full name and year of birth
• Phone / WhatsApp number
• Your attendance, accommodation, and volunteering preferences
• Whether you wish to take refuge, and any questions you'd like to ask the monks
• How you heard about the retreat
• Your consent choices (event guidelines, media consent, WhatsApp group)

How we use it

We use this information only to:

• Confirm your registration and contact you on WhatsApp about the event
• Plan accommodation, meals, and volunteer schedules
• Add you to the temporary announcement WhatsApp group, if you asked to join
• Document the event through photos/videos, only if you gave media consent, for non-commercial purposes such as sharing highlights with participants

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with anyone outside the organising team.

Where it's stored

Submissions are stored in a private Google Sheet and a Supabase database that only the organising team can access, for the purpose of coordinating the retreat.

Your choices

Media consent and joining the WhatsApp group are optional — you can register without agreeing to either. If you'd like us to correct or delete your information, contact us using the details below and we will action your request.
